One of our most little known secrets to the outside world, this fly is the guide's choice for all things caddis when it comes to caddis nymphs. First derived in Ridgway, CO, in what was affectionately known as "The Guide House", this bug was responsible for an entire season's worth of client's tips when it came to fishing freestone streams, mountains streams, and even larger western style rivers.
This bug excels when fished as a caddis larva, but don't be surprised to get some hits on the recast. We've also used this neon worm to garner their attention in the higher, off color waters of spring or even after summer rainstorms have washed out our favorite hole.
The free moving tail, or caddis body, allows for unmatched movement and when combined with the Cul De Canard soft hackle collar, this bug comes alive underwater. Utilizing a revoltionary material, the tail is very durable and stronger than your normal squirmy worm material. Make Mr. Squigglesworth your new fishing partner this season and you'll become a believer too.
