A CFA Original, this fly was designed with the idea of tying a realistic looking ant. Originally tied with UV black dub, it was tested with a client the next day. As my client sat on Glacier Creek in RMNP crushing it, I took a seat to enjoy the show. As I was sitting there watching him prove my new pattern, I noticed a ton of red and black ants crawling all over my waders. So I sat down at the bench that night and tied some in red and black. Next day...different client, same results. Available in multiple colors. Works well under the surface too. Highly visible for an ant fly.
