CFA'S 1/2 Way Baetis Dun is a true guide fly and a CFA original. Developed to be a more durable version of the original comparadun as well as the sparkle dun. This fly floats well because of the synthetic materials, while maintaining it's comparadun wing profile. The tail simulates an emerging nymph right before it shakes it's shuck, so about, halfway to emergence or so. Great trailing fly in a double dry rig (see "The old 1-2" in the blog section} or works well as a lead fly with a micro midge emerger trailing behind on the tailwaters.
